Unsure

Some days I walk unsure
Don't know how to be motivated
Some days I feel the future is unclear
Don't know how to be captivated
I just want to slouch
But inside me says move forward
I just want to stop
But everything around me says keep going

When all seems to be unsure
And I don't know what to say
When all seems to be unclear
And I don't know what to think
I will turn to the One who
Gave me Himself to have a life
I will turn to the One who
Became my friend right when I needed one
I will turn to the One who
Knew me before I knew myself
To the Father who is sure of what He is doing

Death of Impossibility

Hope is the death of impossiblity and the beginning of joy kept in the heart of something that is not seen but sure to happen; it is what you hold on to when there's nothing left to clutch on to; it is what awaken dead hearts; it is ignoring any discouragement; it is what makes you pursue something with passion; it is what keeps the ship sailing through the nights; it is what is across the sea that opens in a new world.

"Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me."

~ Emily Dickinson, Hope

"The word which God has written on the brow of every man is Hope."

~ Victor Hugo from Les Misérables

Something I don't Know

If there's something I don't know it's you
Even if I try and try to guess
If there's something I can't find; it's you
Even if I try and try to search

You were destined to be a mystery for a time
If there's something I know it's trust
You were destined to be revealed someday; if at all
If there's something I know it's hope in Him

You are something I don't know
Not because I don't want to
But because I don't have to
You are something I don't know

We always want to know what's next
But there are things we can't know yet
If there is one thing I can't know yet
You are something I can't know yet

Not because I don't want to
But because I don't have to
Not because I don't want to
But because there is "a time for everything."

I fear the day that time comes
But yes when it comes
You can be such a man
A man whom I love

Unveil

I don't know this song well. But as I was reading through 2 Corinthians 3 about Jesus unveiling our blind eyes so that we no longer walk in darkness but in His light. We were once blinded by religion (good works, etc.), by worldly passions, and even personal dreams. But now we are no longer under religion or law but under God's grace in Christ Jesus who will unveil our eyes if we choose to let Him. Once our eyes our opened we are set free and little by little see His glory working in our lives.

By Jeff Deyo

I know as I envision
Your never ending power
Your splendor is more
Than I can imagine

I’ve heard of Your perfections
But I’ve been blind to You
Open my eyes
Open my ears
Open my heart

CHORUS
Unveil my eyes
So I can see Your glory
Unveil my eyes
So I can know You’re here
You’re here

Your love, it overtakes me
And makes me who I am
As I am undone
In light of Your glory

Bridge
Take apart this world
That I have made
Make this heart aware
Of more than me
Reveal to me the depths
Of who You are
And come and teach me like a child
To trust Your heart

As He unveils our eyes I pray that He show us that life is not just about us but Him. Every decision we make and situations we face it will help us trust His heart's plan and not ours. When we do we are sure that it is always in good hands.

The House by the Side of the Road

THERE are hermit souls that live withdrawn
In the place of their self-content;
There are souls like stars, that dwell apart,
In a fellowless firmament;
There are pioneer souls that blaze the paths
Where highways never ran-
But let me live by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
Let me live in a house by the side of the road
Where the race of men go by-
The men who are good and the men who are bad,
As good and as bad as I.
I would not sit in the scorner's seat
Nor hurl the cynic's ban-
Let me live in a house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
I see from my house by the side of the road
By the side of the highway of life,
The men who press with the ardor of hope,
The men who are faint with the strife,
But I turn not away from their smiles and tears,
Both parts of an infinite plan-
Let me live in a house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
I know there are brook-gladdened meadows ahead,
And mountains of wearisome height;
That the road passes on through the long afternoon
And stretches away to the night.
And still I rejoice when the travelers rejoice
And weep with the strangers that moan,
Nor live in my house by the side of the road
Like a man who dwells alone.
Let me live in my house by the side of the road,
Where the race of men go by-
They are good, they are bad, they are weak, they are strong,
Wise, foolish - so am I.
Then why should I sit in the scorner's seat,
Or hurl the cynic's ban?
Let me live in my house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
Sam Walter Foss

I used to be one hermit soul but I've learned from Proverbs that you have to "Be a friend" to have a friend. I was a hermit not because I don't like friends but because I thought friends don't like me. But when I started to break free and made a decision to be a friend to man I'm surprised to how many I had and still have. I am always excited for the new ones I will have. I may find good or bad friends; I don't mind taking the risk. Because that very risk of being a friend may take me wonderful places that I've never been and may bring me the best friendship I've ever had. Wherever I am now and wherever I will be; whether I'm extrovert or introvert I shall make friends. I pity those who chose to curl up in their own room and desire solitude more than friendship.

If You Forget Me

If You Forget Me

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.
Pablo Neruda

I don't know about you but I really think this poem is well written. Showing how love goes beyond distances because hearts are connected. May this be to those who have found theirs and may those who haven't patiently wait in their shore.

Boat Song

If you were a boat my darling a boat my darling I’d be the wind at your back. If you were afraid my darling afraid my darling I’d be the courage you lack.

If you were a bird then I’d be a tree, and you would come home my darling to me. If you were asleep then I’d be a dream, wherever you are that’s where my heart will be.

oh do you know we belong together, oh do you know my heart is yours.

If you were the ocean then I’d be the sand. If you were a song I’d be the band. If you were the stars then I’d be the moon. A light in the dark my darling for you.

oh do you know we belong together, oh do you know my heart is yours.

oh do you know we belong together, oh do you know my heart is yours. oh do you know we belong together, oh do you know my heart is yours.

I like how she used imageries in writing this very sweet song. :) Enjoy the video too. Simple and cute.
